COVID Vaccines and Antibody Testing

Anchor Medical Associates is thrilled approved COVID vaccines have come to RI and more are on their way.  In addition to the prevention measures our community members are taking, vaccination against COVID-19 provides light at the end of this long pandemic tunnel. We do not know the state plan for rolling out COVID vaccinations to community members yet. As soon as we have more information about when and where our patients can get the vaccine, we will let you know.

For those inquiring about Antibody Testing, the value of novel coronavirus antibody testing is uncertain at best. There is little evidence that positive results should alter our behavior, and therefore we strongly discourage measuring it.

Please stay safe: wear a mask, wash your hands, reduce outings, and maintain social distancing.

COVID TESTING INFORMATION

If you or your child is a patient here and needs COVID testing, you have several options:

The Importance of Continuing Well Child Visits during the COVID19 Pandemic

To our Pediatric Families in Lincoln:

We know that parents are doing all they can to keep their children healthy and well during this difficult time.  We appreciate that many families are appropriately following public health guidelines by staying home in order to limit the spread of infection.  With that in mind, many parents have expressed concern about coming into the office with their healthy children during this pandemic but are also concerned about wanting to make sure their children are up to date with their physicals and their immunizations.

We at Anchor share your concern and we have made accommodations so that we can safely continue to see your children for their check-ups in the office.  Click here to read more about what we are doing to ensure the safety of your children.

Updated COVID-19 - Visit Policies and Procedures

It has been a difficult and uncertain time these past few weeks.  We at Anchor have been working hard to care for our patients as best we can during the COVID-19 outbreak; such as:

  1. Offerering Telehealth Visits
  2. Providing seperate sick and well visit areas for in office visits
  3. Referring to testing clinics
  4. Screening for symptoms
  5. Instructing patients to attend appointments alone, if possible
  6. Requesting anyone older than 2 years old or older to wear a mask from home to the office.

We look forward to continuing our care for you and your family.  Please read the article for more detailled information.  Call our office if you have any concerns or questions.
